Dog Fouling in our Villages

Dog fouling is extremely unpleasant to look at (and smell), especially when left in the middle of the street for anyone to step on. If you own a dog or are looking after one, it is YOUR duty to ensure that any dog foul left by your dog is cleaned up and disposed of properly.
Tossing a bag at the side of the road is not considered proper disposal, even if the bag is compostable. Failure to clear up after your dog can result in a Fixed Penalty Notice of up to £80 (or up to £1000 if taken to court).
What can you do about dog fouling in your village?
Report an individual for not cleaning up after their dog. Have you witnessed a dog fouling incident and are willing to make a formal complaint/witness statement? With your help, the District Council may be able to take formal action.
Request street cleaning. Help keep the streets tidy and safe for pedestrians and cars alike.
Report a dog-waste bin for emptying. Ensure there is no excuse for leaving dog foul on the street by reporting any full dog-waste bins.
THE MORE WE REPORT THIS HEALTH HAZARD DIRECTLY TO THE COUNCIL, THE MORE ACTION WE WILL GET!
To complete these actions you'll need to access West Lindsey District Council's Self-Service Portal.
